Virgin Caipirinha / Mojito

Virgin Caipirinha / Mojito

My healthy take on Brazil's national cocktail, made while I was in São Paulo on business. Lime and grape juice replace the cachaça and sugar, topped up with sparkling water.

I am currently in São Paulo, Brazil on a business trip and so I thought I would share my juicing recipe for a healthy, alcohol free, version of Brazil’s national cocktail, caipirinha.

The normal recipe for caipirinha uses cachaça (a liquor made from fermented sugar cane juice), sugar and lime.

This health version foregoes the alcohol and sugar, instead using grape juice to provide a little sweetness against the acidity of the limes.
