The Natural Juice Junkie website

Join The Revolution!

Sep 10, 2013 | Life

With juicer sales up 1,886% at John Lewis, I launched a Budget Juice Reboot with a shopping list, schedule and recipes, and people from across the world joined in.

There is a juicing revolution going on, especially since Channel 5 broadcast Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead here in the UK. To give you some idea, John Lewis is reporting an increase in juicer sales of 1,886% on last year!

Regular readers of this blog will know that I am juicing junkie. I have been juicing since I first read about the idea of drinking your veg in a block by Gillian McKeith and truly believe it has been a key factor in regaining my health and saying goodbye to over 5 stone (70 pounds) of body weight.

I’ve read lots of posts on other peoples blogs and Facebook pages lately about juicing being expensive and not really accessible to many people. Last week I suggested I might try to do a juice reboot on a budget and asked on a Facebook page if anyone else fancied joining me. The response was a lot bigger than I expected, but to cut a long story short I’ve launched another website NatutalJuiceJunkie.com with a shopping list, schedule and all the recipes for the Budget Juice Reboot. There are people joining from all over the UK and many other countries including US, Canada, Cyprus, Dubai, Australia and Tanzania! If you also want to join then head over to the site for full details.

Please share this with any friends or family you think may be interested.

May the juice be with you,

Neil

2013 Miles in 2013

This year I am trying to complete 2013 miles self-powered miles. It is has been 10 years since my cousin’s son Adam lost his fight with Cystic Fibrosis. Adam was just 18 years old when when he lost his lifelong battle with CF, the UK’s most common life-threatening inherited disease. Despite spending large parts of his short life in hospital Adam never once complained, not even of a headache and was determined to make the most of everyday.

My 2013 miles in 2013 challenge is in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust as I have been surprised since I started fundraising for the CF Trust just how many people are unaware of this disease and so I hope my efforts will not just raise money, but also awareness of the UK’s most most common life-threatening inherited disease.

2013 Miles in 2013 – The rules

The rules for my 2013 miles in 2013 challenge are quite simple:

  1. All miles must be completely self powered (no motors, sails, etc)
  2. I must be able to evidence all miles, either via GPS or with a picture of any static gym equipment

To complete my 2013 miles I will be running, cycling, rowing and who knows, I might even try a few other self powered methods along the way.
