Back to a word from two days earlier, on day 21 of my advent calendar. First published December 2016.
Know
"The fact that I'm me and no one else is one of my greatest assets" (Haruki Murakami, What I Talk About When I Talk About Running)
Do you know what your greatest asset is? Your greatest asset is being you. You are your greatest asset.
And the more you know that, the more you appreciate that, the more you appreciate yourself, the better life is going to be.
So many people get caught up with trying to be like somebody else. Or getting jealous of someone else, or envious of someone else, or resentful of someone else. And your big asset is being you.
Appreciate you. Love you. Love you like the person you love most in the world. Love you like your life depends on it.
The book: What I Talk About When I Talk About Running by Haruki Murakami.
