Day 20: Now

Dec 20, 2016 | Life

Day 20 of my 2016 Motivational Advent Calendar: what's the time? It's now. It's always now.

Five days to Christmas on my 2016 advent calendar. First published December 2016.

Now

"The present, as I like to say, is the only place where good things can happen to you in life" (Russell Simmons, The Happy Vegan)

I've got a question for you. What's the time? As in, what's the time right now?

I know the answer. In fact, I just said it. The time is now. The time is always now. You don't need to look at what your watch or your clock says. It's now.

So many people miss that point. And by missing it, where do they live? They live in the past, reliving it over and over again inside their head. Or they live in the future, living on the promise of what might happen tomorrow, or the next day, or next week, or next month.

Live now. Live in the present. Live in this moment. That's how to really appreciate this life you're so blessed to have.

The book: The Happy Vegan by Russell Simmons.

Catch yourself in the past or the future today, and come back to now.
