A glass of red juice

Time for a Glass of Red (Juice)

Feb 16, 2012 | Life

To replace my usual glass of red wine, I made a juice from apples, beetroot, blackcurrants, blueberries, cherries and red grapes, a tasty alcohol free alternative.

So it is now day 47 of my year without beer and I am sitting down to watch TV with a nice glass of red. Don’t worry people it is healthy and like my 2012 it is completely alcohol free.

It is times like tonight where before my year without beer I would probably have opened some red wine as I sat down with my lovely wife and the excellent “Inside Men” on BBC1. I decided to create a juicy alternative. This delicious, freshly extracted, live juice is made with apples, beetroot, blackcurrents, blueberries, cherries and red grapes. It contains a full alphabet of goodness from Vitamin A to Zinc, including:

  • Vitamin A
  • Vitamin B
  • Vitamin B1
  • Vitamin B2
  • Vitamin B6
  • Vitamin C
  • Vitamin E
  • Vitamin K

  • Magnesium
  • Phosphorus
  • Potassium

  • Pectin
  • Chlorogenic Acid
  • Caffeic Acid
  • Phloridzin

For everyday juicing I use the Phillips HR1861 Juicer
